Maple Spiced Nuts

These nuts are delicious as a snack, party appetizer or tossed in a salad. I usually use pecans but you can use any nut you enjoy. They are addictive!

  • 4 cups pecans
  • 2 tbsp organic butter
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp cayenne
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

Melt the butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add the spices and maple syrup and blend thoroughly.  Add the pecans; stir to coat well.

Transfer the nuts to a parchment lined baking sheet. Place in a 325 degree oven for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let cool and store in glass jars.
